Palmetto Harbour is a small subdivision of around 75 homes and lots sitting directly on or across the street from the Intracoastal Waterway behind the Possum Trot golf course. One of the most private and exclusive new neighborhoods of North Myrtle Beach, it offers many lots to build custom homes of the most upscale variety. Several small lakes provide a blue sparkle for the homes not facing the ICW. The HOA fee is minimal and requires at least a 2000 sq ft home to be built. Permits are available for private docks.

This area at the beach is one of the best - centered between Ocean Drive and Crescent Beach, and central to everything in the city. Just to the north there are shopping plazas with Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Kroger, Bilo, and Publix, among so many others. Every kind of restaurant from the best of the fine dining popular names like Carrabbas, Bonefish, and Outback share dinnertime with some of the best local establishments. Main Street at Ocean Drive is only about 15 blocks north with its new pavilion and all the "shag" clubs. This would be the perfect neighborhood for using a golf cart to get around.

Just to the south are more of the best restaurants in the area. Barefoot Landing is only a couple of miles down Highway 17, with some of the best boutique stores and restaurants you'll ever see. The House of Blues and Alabama Theatre provide live entertainment amidst it all.
